Our client yesterday had some lights out on their sign and called us out to do a simple lightbulb swap.
After replacing the bulbs we found that they weren’t working as perfect as we would like to see. The lights flickered and buzzed and that usually means a faulty connection somewhere in the line. Dale took the sign apart a bit more to investigate and we found the culprits. A few of the wires feeding power to the bulbs had been chewed by a mouse and in turn created a dangerous arc situation within the sign. We cut out and replaced the damaged wires and put everything back together. Now our client has a whole sign worth of brand new, bright and safe lights to power their sign. We consider that a win for the day.
